Exam overview and structure
LANGUAGECERT Test of English (LTE) is a fast, flexible CEFR-aligned English test designed for workplace, recruitment, training and professional profile contexts where the receiver accepts LTE.
Listening & Reading Approx 60 min
2-skill core module
Listening: Adaptive computer-based listening tasks covering everyday and work-related contexts.
Reading: Adaptive computer-based reading tasks measuring proficiency from A1 to C2.
Writing Approx 45 min
Optional add-on
Focus: Producing clear written English at a CEFR level appropriate to the candidate.
Speaking Approx 15 min
Optional add-on
Focus: Spoken interaction with a live examiner across structured workplace-relevant tasks.
Delivery and test-day requirements
Take LTE at a Test Centre
Sit LTE in a supervised Test Centre environment when your employer or institution requires Test Centre delivery. Bring valid photo ID and arrive 30 minutes early.
A fast, flexible online test
LTE Online is taken from anywhere with live proctoring. You'll need a valid passport, a quiet space and a stable internet connection.
